Antelope
Steve Davis with a beautiful Wyoming antelope.
A nice Pope and Young antelope taken by GoldTip Shooting Staff Manager Tim Gillingham near Gillette, Wy in 2007. One shot with a Realtree 7595 tipped with a two-blade Goldtip Gladiator at 68 yds did the trick with the speed goat piling up after a mad 70 yard dash. The 7595, no worse for wear. Man these arrow are tough!
Fernanda Gillingham with her first ever hunting trip harvested a nice Pope and Young antelope near Gillette, Wy. She used a GoldTip 3555 with a two-blade Gladiator mechanical broadhead to take this 68 4/8" trophy. She was shooting only 40 lbs and got a complete pass through. This definitely show shot placement as much more important than arrow weight or speed.
19 year old Jordon Hypes from Douglas, Wy harvested this beautiful Wyoming state record antelope with 5575 Xt Hunter arrows. He officially scores 86 4/8" and is 16 1/8" tall, 6 1/4" cutters and 7 1/2" bases. One shot from 35 yards put him down for good. Congrats Jordon!
