Four out of five shooters in the prestigious Men’s Pro Shoot-off were shooting, you guessed it, Gold Tip Pro Series Shafts.  3 out of the five Women Pros and 3 out of 5 of the Senior Pros  were also shooting the ammo of choice, Gold Tip arrows.  Whether you were Joseph Goza shooting the Triple X Pro’s with 120 grain points, Levi Morgan with the Pro Hunter 7595’s with 140 grain points, or Jeanna Albritain  with her Ultralight 600 with 80 grain points, there is a first class arrow shaft in the Gold Tip lineup for just about any configuration you want to set up that will make you competitive on a world class stage.

Beautiful weather in Newberry, Florida for the first leg of the 2012 ASA Pro/Am Tour led to some impressive shooting by some pretty impressive shooters.  9 first place finishes with a win in the Senior Pro division by Allan Conners shooting Ultralight Pro X-cutters with 100 grain points.  Joseph Goza was edged out of first place after leading for the entire weekend  on the final arrow in the Men’s Pro division.  Jeanna Allbritain also led the Women’s Pro pack for the entire shootoff until being caught by a gust of wind and losing her lead.  She still finished a strong second.

Eight more shooter in the amateur classes won with new Gold Tip shooter Randy Deerfield winning the Semi-Pro division.  Young Ty Adkins, who dominated the Young Adult class last year, made his debut in the Open A class and never skipped a beat with his first win as an adult.    Other wins included Jeff Hunter in the Hunter class, Matt Strickland in Open C,  Jessica Gross in Women’s Hunter, Tiffany Handy in the new Women’s Open B, Kenneth McKie in K-45, and Dylan Groos who followed his mother by winging in the Eagle class and earning a $50 gift certificate from Gold Tip.
