Orem, UT, October 14, 2005 - Gold Tip, Inc. today announced the formation of Freedom Home Medical LLC. Freedom Home Medical is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gold Tip, Inc. and represents a move to diversify Gold Tips’ business strategy for the future. Tom Donat, the newly appointed President of Freedom Home Medical said, “Freedom Home Medical will help to strengthen our business opportunities both now and for the foreseeable future.” He continued, “Although a departure from the traditional Gold Tip presence of over eighteen years in the archery industry, our management team has been looking for ways to strengthen the company and position Gold Tip in future growth industries. Because of social demographics and the aging of the population we felt this move to create Freedom Home Medical was a step in the right direction to accomplish our growth goals.”

Freedom Home Medical will be headquartered in Orem, Utah, on the current Gold Tip campus. Freedom Home Medical brings together a number of seasoned professionals from the medical equipment industry that will form the nucleus of the new company. The company’s business model includes the sale and support of durable medical equipment including power wheelchairs, oxygen, and CPAP equipment. Operations have already commenced in several large metropolitan areas around the country. Equipment includes offerings from most of the major DME vendors.
