NFAA 3-Star Tour Pittsburg , PA Apr. 20-22

Three years ago Goldtip shooters were few and far between in some of the top target events, but when archers started seeing the accuracy that came with the legendary durability they came in droves. This year at Pittsburg was no exception. Perry Harpring, a longtime loyal Goldtip staffer had a great start with the new CAA 500’s coming in tied for the lead the first day and finishing fourth in the tournament for the weekend. In the car shootoff, several Goldtip shooters made it a long ways with KeithTrail in the the final duo with his X-cutter Ultralights. In the Novelty Shootoff, 4 of the final eight shooters were shooting Goldtips. Mostly Prohunters, and the CAA shafts were being used for this style of shooting. The HSO held their final popup event with the 3-star tour and Goldtip Staff Manager Tim Gillingham won it handily with Tom Pruit coming in second. Tom also won the 4-wheeler in the shootoff for all shooters that had qualified by shooting the HSO at all three events. Chris Berry also got his first win in the target scene with a win in the Bowhunter Freestyle division. Here is the run down.
