2007 ASA Pro/Am Paris,TX March 23-25 Paris, Texas, sounds kind of romantic, eh’? Sorry, but it is Texas and the newest venue for the ASA. There was a great first tournament turnout with a lot of new local faces. The city of Paris were very hospitable and put on a great tournament in conjuction with the ASA. The city made some very nice belt buckles for all the champions for the weekend. If you thought that Hattiesburg had too short of courses then you definitely got your wish in Paris. The courses were very long and scores to make the Pro shootdown were as low as I can ever remember. The whole 14 thing has put the male ego into play and some of us are really getting spanked. Great job to the winners and a special “Atta Boy” to Charles Buhler who now has back to back wins in the Super Senior class. All in all a very good tournament for Gold Tip shooters. 8th Open Pro Scott Price 9th Open Pro Adam Hayden 4th Senior Pro Mike Davis 5th Senior Pro Phil Long 6th Senior Pro Les Bressler 3rd Semi Pro Art Brown 1st Senior Men Gary Gunter 1st Super Senior Charles Buhler 2nd Super Senior Harold Williams 3rd Super Senior Robert Taylor 1st Hunter Class John Wheeler 1st Women’s Open Theresa Hutchings 3rd Women’s Open Margie Carter 2nd Open B Jonathan Cook 3rd Traditional Carl McKittrick 2nd Youth Boys Taylor Campbell 1st Senior Eagle Ryan Almond 3rd Eagle Tyler Cain |
