Allan Ruddock of Klamath Falls, Oregon pulled it off. No newcomer to the top ranks of this prestigious tournament, Allan finally got the job done with his win in a shootoff with Dave Cousins and Kevin Wilkey for the top Pro Mens spot. He proved his Ultralight 500’s were up for the job against the highly toted smaller diameter shafts on the market. In fact Gold Tip had four shooters in the top seven. Several of the Gold Tip shooters competed in the best-ball team format and filled the shootoff line to determine the top teams for the weekend. Gold Tip is really starting to gain a reputation in the target world for its accurate, durable shafts and shooters are quick to justify the cost difference between Gold Tip arrows and the highly touted “target” shafts on the market. For you bowhunters, it’s nice to know the same shafts that you have counted on for years in your yearly pusuits are one in the same being used to win major competitions. Look for a lot of great things from Gold Tip in the future and congratulate the following archers on their spectacular peformances. 1st Men’s Pro FS Allan Ruddock 5th Men’s Pro FS Tommy Daley 6th Men’s Pro FS Tony Clem 7th Men’s Pro FS Cabe Johnson 3rd Men’s Pro FSL Randy Brabec 9th Men’s Pro FSL Reggie Puckett 7th Women’s Pro FS Becky Pearson 1st Women’s Amateur FS Ruth Payne |
