2006 ArizonaCup, Phoenix, AZ
You may not think Gold Tip carbon arrows are thin enough to be competitive in long range FITA shooting, but Gold Tip staff manager Tim Gillingham and pro staff member Becky Pearson showed that not to be the case. In fact Gillingham ran away with the qualification rounds and posted a 1396. In the highly competitive Men’s Compound division he dominated the competition with the next closest shooter being 17 points distant. Pressure in the Olympic round got to him but it still illustrates the quality and competitiveness of the arrows he shoots, even in blustery conditions. Becky Pearson also had a great weekend with an exciting Olympic Round that came down to the final 3 arrows to decide the victor. We would like to congratulate Becky for her 2nd place Compound Women’s finish.Becky was shooting Ultralight Pro 600’s and Tim was shooting Ultralight 300’s with pin nocks and 140 grain points.
